To prevent dental emergencies, visit your dentist every six months so they can catch underlying conditions before they worsen. Otherwise, you should:
- Wear mouthguards while playing sports or doing other physical activities
- Avoid chewing ice, popcorn kernels, and hard candy
- Avoid using your teeth on inedible objects
